Question 1

Is the class live?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every class is taught live by a facilitator on Zoom. It isn’t a recording — you’ll interact, take part in activities, and ask questions in real time.

Question 2

Can I attend from my phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as long as your camera and microphone work, your connection is steady, and you can keep your camera on the whole time. A laptop or tablet on a stand is easier for the worksheets and activities, but a phone works. Keep it plugged in.

Question 3

Can I drive during class?

Accepted Answer

No. For your safety, you can’t attend while driving or riding in a moving vehicle. Participants who join from a car will be asked to leave and won’t receive credit.

Question 4

What if I lose connection?

Accepted Answer

Rejoin with the same Zoom link as quickly as you can. Testing your internet, camera, and microphone before class helps prevent problems. Extended time away may affect your credit, so contact us if a connection problem keeps you out of class.

Question 5

What if I’m late?

Accepted Answer

Please join a few minutes early. Arriving late or leaving early can mean you don’t receive credit for the class, so call us if something unexpected comes up.

Question 6

How do I get my certificate?

Accepted Answer

Attend the full class with your camera on, take part in the activities, finish the assessments, and follow the rules. Participants who complete every requirement receive a Certificate of Completion.

Question 7

Who receives my completion report?

Accepted Answer

When authorized, attendance and completion verification can be provided to the court, school, probation department, or agency that referred you. Details of who receives reports and what they contain are [TO BE CONFIRMED BY ORGANIZATION].

Question 8

What does it cost?

Accepted Answer

The court-ordered online price for Truancy Law (Life Skills included) and Conquering Conflict (Anger Management included) is $75.00. A sliding-scale fee is available, with the amount set on your referral form, and indigent participants may attend free of charge. Supervised Visitation and Adoption Studies are priced by phone.

Question 9

Is it confidential?

Accepted Answer

We ask everyone to respect each other’s privacy, and photos, screenshots, and recordings aren’t allowed. Because class is a group setting, confidentiality can’t be fully guaranteed, so share only what you’re comfortable with. Personal disclosures are never required. See our Privacy & Its Limits page for details.

Question 10

How do I pay?

Accepted Answer

Online by card through Square, right after you register. If you skipped payment or were given an amount by phone, you can pay anytime on our Pay page.

Question 11

Is my card information safe?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Payments are handled entirely by Square on their secure checkout page. We never see your card number, and card details are never stored on this site.

Question 12

Can I get a receipt?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Square emails a receipt to the address you enter at checkout.

Question 13

What if I can’t afford the full fee?

Accepted Answer

You’re not alone, and it shouldn’t keep you from class. A sliding-scale fee is available, with the amount set on your referral form, and indigent participants may attend free. Choose your cost when you register, or call (214) 395-4921 after 5:00 p.m.
